Health4TheWorld welcomes Dr. Yoshimi Anzai as she familiarizes us with Imaging of the Cervical Lymph Nodes. She discusses how to describe conditions based on Nodal Classification, which is essential for describing these studies during consultations. Furthermore, she explains the pattern of lymphatic drainage, which is useful for thinking about the spread of infection or metastases of a cancer. Dr. Anzai then describes the distributions of common nodal diseases and explains why size criteria are inaccurate and may not be the best modalities for determining diagnoses or prognosis. Finally, Dr. Anzai describes which imaging modalities are best for determining the type of lesion and what changes one would see with changes in a tumor. Following this lecture, we hope that viewers are able to describe a lesion involving a lymph node and can think about the following steps that are required following their findings.
